It’s All For A Good Cause

This week’s blog post will be taking a bit of a turn from our regular schedule of showcasing our incredible product line.  We here at Fiumara Apparel strongly believe in giving back to worthy causes whenever possible.  It is our sincere pleasure to have such an opportunity this Saturday at the Arizona State University “Hoops 4 Hope” tournament supporting St. Jude Hospital.

In the event that you are unfamiliar with this incredible organization, St. Jude is a research hospital with locations all over the country.  Their mission is to advance cures and a means for prevention for catastrophic diseases, in particular, those diseases that afflict children.  No child that seeks treatment at any St. Jude facility is denied based on race, religion or a family’s ability to pay.

Those involved with St. Jude have made it their mission, not only to provide care for all children in need, but to provide a safe and comforting place for their families.  Many locations offer housing and transportation for the families of children being treated as many of St. Jude patients are traveling far distances to receive treatment.  Keeping the families together allows both patient and family the convenience and comfort of being able to be together to give each other necessary support.

The students of Arizona State University are stepping up their game to aid the cause.  ASU is sponsoring a student three on three basketball tournament.  The cost is $30.00 per team and the winning team will receive tickets to an Arizona Suns basketball game. The tournament itself is only open to ASU students due to liability, but anyone may donate to this worthy cause.

Everyone participating in the event will receive a screen printed t-shirt as a souvenir of the event.  Fiumara Apparel is proud to be able to contribute by donating these t-shirts to the fundraiser. 

Every child has the potential to be the next groundbreaking scientist, eye-opening artist, live-saving doctor, or general awe-inspiring world changer.  Regardless of what their future holds, every child deserves the chance to find out exactly what that is.  Fiumara Apparel is proud to be one of the sponsors for this event.
