Solid product. Looks smart and good for the job.

This is a solid vest that looks professional enough for uniform wear for your barista, bartender or server work. I use it at my bartender job at a wine bar, and it fits perfectly over a long-sleeve white shirt and colored tie with a 3/4-length black waist apron (aka, bistro apron) around my waist. The two out-side facing front pockets are functional (great for small items); because I have the bistro apron pockets readily available, I have not yet needed to use the inside breast pockets (of which they are two, one on each side). The exterior of the vest is 100% polyester, black, matt finish, and the inside lining is 100% polyester, satin finish. The back panels are the same material as the front panels, and the vest is fully lined.

When I first received the product, I found a few stray loose threads, but those are easily cleaned up with a pair of sharp sewing shears (or a lighter, if you're careful). At first I was doubtful about how durable this would be in the washing machine, but I've washed them at least twice now, and they are non worse for the wear. No ironing is required if you follow the instructions (i.e., wash in cold water, tumble dry low/warm, remove immediately and hang up to avoid wrinkling).

After two months use, the areas that show the greatest wear/tear are (1) the sewed stitching around the armholes (loose threads and mild fraying) and the bottom hem (loose threads). Again, you can easily take care of those via the methods I mentioned above.

For the price-point, this is a serviceable vest for uniform wear: inexpensive and easy to care for. As such, the material/construction is not durable enough and the style of cut is not flexible enough for casual/dress attire. I would not advise make this vest a part of your everyday wardrobe. If you want a waistcoat for that purpose, try the Men's Warehouse or Charles Tyrwhitt.
